Skyworks prices offering of senior notes to raise $1.5bn
Under its effective shelf registration statement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) has priced its underwritten public offering of senior notes to raise $1.5bn, consisting of $500m of its 0.900% senior notes due 2023, $500m of its 1.800% senior notes due 2026 and $500m of its 3.000% senior notes due 2031.
Skyworks intends to use the net proceeds of the offering, together with other sources of cash, to finance the cash consideration of $2.75bn for the acquisition of the Infrastructure & Automotive business of Silicon Laboratories Inc (announced on 22 April).
The offering is expected to close on 26 May, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
