Comtech PST awarded $1m contract for high-power solid-state amplifiers
Comtech Telecommunications Corp says that in fiscal fourth-quarter 2021 its subsidiary Comtech PST Corp of Melville, NY, USA, which is part of Comtech’s Government Solutions segment and supplies high-power RF microwave amplifiers and control components, was awarded a $1m contract for amplifiers from a major domestic prime contractor.
As key transmit elements in a data communication system, the amplifiers - which utilize gallium nitride (GaN) transistor technology - add to an installed base of Comtech solid-state high-power RF amplifiers previously delivered to this major domestic prime contractor.
“This contract demonstrates our continued leadership position in providing high-power communications technology and the ongoing demand for our solid-state high-power amplifiers utilized by major OEMs in both domestic and international markets,” says Comtech Telecommunications’ chairman & CEO Fred Kornberg.
