MACOM launches connectorized switch product line
At the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2020) virtual event (4–6 August), MACOM Technology Solutions Inc of Lowell, MA, USA (which makes semiconductors, components and subassemblies for analog RF, microwave, millimeter-wave and photonic applications) has launched a connectorized switch product line that utilizes proprietary diode technology to provide what is claimed to be best-in-class performance on insertion loss, isolation and switching speed, suiting general-purpose RF & millimetre-wave control applications.
The first three new connectorized switch products launched are as follows:
- The MASW-011131, a connectorized 8-50GHz reflective SP2T with an integrated TTL driver operating with +5VDC and -10VDC. The integrated logic control provides for a unique state where both RF ports can be placed into simultaneous isolation to create an ‘all off state’. The device provides typical isolation of 30dB, insertion loss of 3.3dB and fast 28ns switching speed in a compact 1.2” x 1.0” x 0.5” housing.
- The MASW-011138 is a connectorized 1.0-26.5GHz reflective SPST with an integrated TTL driver operating with +5VDC and -10VDC. The device provides typical isolation of 50dB, insertion loss of 2.0dB and 36ns switching speed in a compact 1.2” x 1.0” x 0.5” housing.
- The MASW-011135 is a 2–26GHz reflective SP2T with an integrated TTL driver operating with +5VDC and -10VDC. The integrated logic control provides for a unique state where both RF ports can be placed into simultaneous isolation to create an ‘all off state’. The product provides typical isolation of 30dB, insertion loss of 2.6dB and 70ns switching speed in a compact 1.2” x 1.0” x 0.5” housing.
The products were designed for use in high-reliability applications including aerospace, defense, satellite and test & measurement end-markets.
