MMIC manufacturer TriQuint Semiconductor will introduce two new high-OTOI (output third order intercept) GaAs amplifiers at the European Microwave Week (EuMW), which begins tomorrow in Manchester, UK. TGA4530 and TGA4530-SM are designed for point-to-point radio, K-band satellite communications and point-to-multipoint network infrastructure applications.
"By working closely with our customers we have been able to significantly improve the performance and lower the cost of millimeter wave amplifiers by investments in device modeling, design and testing to support the demand for high power millimeter wave MMIC and packaged devices," said Dan Green, TriQuint Broadband Products marketing director. "The TGA4530 will be offered in both a surface mount package and as a die product to provide the flexibility in delivery format that our customers require."
The TGA4530 offers a frequency coverage of 17-21 GHz, and provides 42 dBm OTOI, 30 dBm output power at the 1 dB compression point at a bias of 7V (825mA, Idq); typical gain is 20 dB with input and output return losses of 15dB. It also incorporates an on-chip power detector, thus reducing the bill of materials by eliminating the need for a discrete power detection circuit. The TGA4530 is the MMIC version; the TGA4530-SM is packaged.Visit: http://www.triquint.com
