Johnson Matthey Gas Purification Technology (GPT) of West Chester, PA, USA has supplied two Model PSH-60 hydrogen purifiers, capable of hydrogen flows of 60Nm3/hr, to Tekcore Co Ltd of Nantou, Taiwan, which manufactures high-brightness LED wafers and chips. The sale was made via Johnson Matthey’s Taiwanese sales and service agent Pionics Technology Corp.
Johnson Matthey has now supplied Tekcore with five bulk hydrogen purifiers. The new hydrogen purifiers, along with the other Johnson Matthey hydrogen purifiers already in place, will supply ultra-pure hydrogen to the growing number of high-volume MOCVD reactors at Tekcore’s plant.
Johnson Matthey says that its PSH Series bulk hydrogen purifiers are capable of providing 99.9999999% pure hydrogen for wafer fabrication.
The latest sale follows the sale in late November of a Model PSH-30 hydrogen purifier, capable of hydrogen flows of 30Nm3/hr, to Chi Mei Entech Co Ltd (CMLT) of Taipei, Taiwan, which manufactures LEDs for backlighting LCD screens.
