On January 24, 2006, Japan’s Nichia Corporation filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware alleging that certain White LED-application products (such as LZ21813KA) marketed by its former customer Intermatic Inc infringed its U.S. patent (U.S. Patent No. 5,998,925). Nichia requested that Intermatic discontinue marketing products containing these White LEDs.
According to Nichia, Intermatic has agreed to respect Nichia’s Intellectual Property, and the two companies will now enter into a business arrangement, which sees the lawsuit resolved. Visit: http://www.nichia.co.jp
