Awards for IQE and Wafer Technology
IQE Europe Ltd, of Cardiff, UK has won the International Safety Award from the British Safety Council.
Only companies with below average accident rates may apply for the award. Winners are selected according to the standard of their safety policies, and their commitment to health and safety at the highest board level. As part of the requirement to win the Award, companies must detail their health and safety officers’ qualifications and provide information about advances they have made in health and safety.In other news, Wafer Technology Ltd, a subsidiary of IQE plc, has been formally assessed by the British Standards Institute (BSi) and has been accredited to the international standard for Environmental Management Systems: ISO14001.
