Skyworks’ Sky5 suite wins Mobile Breakthrough’s ‘Commercial 5G Solution of the Year’ award

Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) says that its Sky5 suite was recently named ‘Commercial 5G Solution of the Year’ by Mobile Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization that recognizes top companies, technologies and products in the global wireless and mobile market.

The Sky5 suite of flexible and customizable system solutions provides performance, footprint and power efficiency in a unifying platform. The portfolio includes highly integrated, high-performance transmit/receive front-end solutions as well as diversity receive (DRx) modules. Specifically designed for new spectrum in the sub-6GHz range, the products offer a MIPI interface, are baseband agnostic, and comply with 3GPP standards.

Skyworks was chosen from more than 2500 nominations representing companies from around the world. Awards were evaluated by an autonomous panel of senior-level Mobile professionals. In 2018, Skyworks received ‘GPS-based Solutions of the Year’ and ‘Small Cell Technology Innovation of the Year’ from Mobile Breakthrough, as well as the ‘IoT Semiconductor Product of the Year’ by IoT Breakthrough.
