Source Photonics wins 2019 Leading Lights Award in Outstanding Components Vendor category
Source Photonics Inc of West Hills, CA, USA (which provides optical connectivity products for data centers, metro and access networks) has been named a winner in the Light Reading 2019 Leading Lights Awards program in the Outstanding Components Vendor category.
Judged by Light Reading’s editors and the analyst team from Heavy Reading, the Leading Lights Awards program recognizes top companies and executives in the telecom industry for their outstanding achievements in next-generation communications technology, applications, services, strategies and innovations. The winners were announced at an awards dinner at the Pinnacle Club at the Grand Hyatt Denver on 6 May on the eve of the Big 5G Event in Denver, CO, USA (https://tmt.knect365.com/big-5g-event).
As a provider of optical transceivers for 5G and data-center applications, Source Photonics has invested in the complete optical value chain from laser production through transceiver assembly. The firm says that its integrated manufacturing platform enhanced speed to market, enabled manufacturing innovation and offered flexibility to customers during scale deployment of both 3G and LTE networks. The Leading Lights recognition demonstrates that its investments in next-generation product and manufacturing technology position the business for delivering on 5G customer demand.
“With so much focus on technology innovation ahead of mass 5G deployments, the number and quality of entries across this year’s 22 Leading Lights categories surpassed anything we have seen since we launched the awards, which are now in their 15th year,” comments Light Reading’s editor-in-chief Ray Le Maistre. Source Photonics is “setting a great example for what is possible in an unprecedented era of communications technology evolution,” he adds.
