MACOM showcasing RF and microwave portfolio for 5G at IMS
In booth #532 at the IEEE’s International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2019) at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) in Boston, MA, USA (4–6 June), MACOM Technology Solutions Inc is showcasing its gallium nitride on silicon (GaN-on-Si) portfolio, millimeter-wave (mmW) portfolio and other high-performance MMIC and diode products, including new product offerings optimized for 5G connectivity, wireless basestations, radar, test & measurement, industrial, cooking, scientific and medical RF applications:
- High-performance RF components: amplifiers, switches, mixers, limiters, NLTL comb generators, power detectors, attenuators, diodes and transistors serving diverse markets including mmW connectivity, test & measurement, satellite, radar, milcom, wired and wireless networks, automotive, industrial, medical and mobile devices;
- 5G connectivity: high-performance and reliable discrete components and HMICs for 4GLTE and 5G telecom;
- RF energy: a GaN-on-Si portfolio delivering critical performance parameters such as power density, gain and efficiency to enable RF energy applications;
- Homeland security: SPAR tiles and phased-array technology allowing each element of a radar to operate in concert, creating highly agile and narrowly focused beams.
Also, throughout IMS, MACOM personnel are participating in various sessions, including:
- 5G Summit (4 June at BCEC, room 160ABC): ‘Sub 6GHz 5G mMIMO Design Challenges’ - presenter: Walter Honcharenko;
- Session ‘Tu1C Advances in Material Characterization and Processing’ (4 June 8–9:40am, at BCEC, 156AB) - chair: Freek van Straten.
