Skyworks launches front-end modules for Wi-Fi 6 applications
Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) has launched two front-end modules (FEMs), the 2.4GHz SKY85330-21 and the 5GHz SKY85748-11, for enterprise 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) applications including access points, routers and gateways.
The fully integrated solutions feature a logarithmic power detector supporting wide dynamic ranges and low power consumption, enabling improved thermal management. They also deliver what is claimed to be industry-leading efficiency, suiting POE applications, and come in a compact 2.5 x 2.5 package for smaller footprint.
Both FEMs can be paired with leading enterprise 802.11ax reference designs.
