MACOM showcasing cloud data-center and 5G connectivity dolutions in new InnovationZone at OFC
In booth #2739 at the Optical Networking and Communication Conference and Exhibition (OFC) 2019 in San Diego (5–7 March), MACOM Technology Solutions Inc of Lowell, MA, USA (which makes semiconductors, components and subassemblies for RF, microwave, millimeter-wave and lightwave applications) is showcasing an expanded portfolio of optoelectronic and photonic solutions.
MACOM is giving updates on how its optoelectronics and photonics portfolio can enable high bandwidth and low latency, providing solutions to meet the demanding size, power and signal integrity requirements of high-speed networks.
Showcasing next-generation cloud data-center and 5G connectivity solutions, MACOM’s complete portfolio includes high-performance Fabry-Perot (FP) and distributed feedback (DFB) lasers, modulator drivers, transimpedance amplifiers, clock/data recovery circuits, crosspoints, APD, PIN photodiodes, Silicon Photonics, and 53GBaud PAM-4 PHYs.
New for this year’s OFC, MACOM’s InnovationZone features products and solutions addressing:
- 64GBaud coherent for long-haul, metro and data-center interconnects (DCI);
- 400Gbps PAM-4 for FR4/DR4;
- 200/400Gbps for SR-8 and active optical cables (AOCs);
- 200Gbps analog CDRs (clock & data recovery chips) for CWDM4;
- 100Gbps for DR/FR and CWDM4;
- 25/50Gbps optical connectivity for 5G; and
- 10/25Gbps PON (passive optical network).
In addition, on 5 March (3-3:15pm, Room 8, San Diego Convention Center) Jinyu Mo, director of design engineering, Lightwave, is giving a presentation ‘400 Gbps PAM-4 Signal Transmission Using a Monolithic Laser Integrated Silicon Photonics Transmitter’ in the Session ‘Photonic Integration for Data Centers’.
