Monolithic microwave integrated circuit developer Custom MMIC of Westford, MA, USA has launched the CMD290, a new wideband gallium nitride (GaN) low-noise amplifier (LNA) MMIC.
The CMD290 operates at 2-26GHz and delivers 12.5dB of gain with a corresponding noise figure of 2.3dB and an output 1dB compression point (P1dB) of +19dBm at 13GHz. The GaN LNA features an RF input power survivability of 2W. As a 50Ω matched design, it eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching.
Suitable for applications requiring low noise figure performance and high input power survivability, the CMD290 is available in die form and is fully passivated for increased reliability and moisture protection.
