Custom MMIC adds non-reflective GaAs SP5T and SP6T switches spanning DC-18GHz

Monolithic microwave integrated circuit developer Custom MMIC of Westford, MA, USA has added to its expanding product range with two new broadband non-reflective gallium arsenide (GaAs) MMIC switches spanning DC-18GHz.
The CMD235C4 is an SP5T (single-pole five-throw) switch offering broadband performance with an insertion loss of 2.5dB and high port-to-port isolation of 40dB at 10GHz.
The CMD236C4 is an SP6T (single-pole six-throw) switch offering low insertion loss of 2.5dB and high isolation of 42dB at 10GHz.
Suitable for high-performance military and instrumentation applications, both switches provide a switching speed of about 60ns and an input P1dB (output power at 1dB gain compression) of 21dBm.
The switches feature binary decoder circuitry that reduces the number of logic control lines. The control voltages for both switches are 0/-5V. Both MMICs are housed in a ROHS-compliant 4mm x 4mm QFN surface-mount package.
