Cree launches high-lumen directional LED bulbs for high ceilings
LED chip, lamp and lighting fixture maker Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA is expanding its bulb family with the launch of new high-lumen directional LED bulbs designed specifically for rooms with high ceilings and for consumers who want more light. The portfolio delivers what is claimed to be the brightest flood lights available on the market with new BR30 100W replacements, as well as R20 75W lamps.
As more new homes are built with higher ceilings throughout the USA, more light is needed to illuminate the surfaces of homes. The new high-lumen LED bulbs emit more than twice as much light as typical LED floods, providing consumers sufficient light for everyday activities such as cooking, reading and working. The BR30 100W and R20 75W LED Bulbs feature high-color-rendering-index (90 CRI) light that enhances home décor and makes colors appear true and natural, Cree says. Each LED bulb is fully dimmable without buzzing or humming, so consumers can adjust light levels to meet their needs and preferences.
“Until now, consumers have not been able to buy directional LED lights in a wide variety of wattage equivalencies,” says Al Safarikas, Cree’s VP of marketing, lamps. “Cree’s new flood lights fill the void created by the disappearance of high-wattage incandescent bulbs,” he adds. “Consumers no longer have to compromise on the brightness they need for the efficiency they want.”
Additionally, the BR30 100W Soft White, BR30 100W Daylight and R20 75W Soft White replacement LED bulbs offer the following features: projected lifetimes exceeding ENERGY STAR requirements, lasting 25,000 hours or more than 22 years (based on 3 hours use per day); a 10-year 100% satisfaction guarantee; and ENERGY STAR certification.
The new LED flood lights are exclusively available now, online and in-store at The Home Depot. The bulbs are also available commercially and sold through Cree lighting sales channels throughout the USA.
