Skyworks launches 200-3800MHz broadband LNA for wireless infrastructure applications
Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) has launched an ultra-broadband low-noise amplifier (LNA) with what is claimed to be superior gain flatness and exceptional linearity, suitable for high-performance cellular infrastructure, small cells, tower-mounted amplifiers, remote radio units (RRUs), repeaters, base stations and military LNA applications.
Available in a compact 2mm x 2mm x 0.75mm, 8-pin dual flat no-lead (DFN) package, the SKY67159-396LF single-stage gallium arsenide (GaAs) pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistor (pHEMT) LNA offers ultra-broadband performance with a single matching circuit, low noise figure and good linearity.
An on-die active bias design ensures consistent performance over process and temperature variation. The device was designed with thermal characteristics that allow high-performance operation at temperatures up to +105°C.
