Pasternack launches sub-$500 coaxial-packaged RF amplifiers
Pasternack Enterprises Inc of Irvine, CA, USA (which makes both passive and active RF, microwave and millimeter-wave products) has launched a range of affordable coaxial-packaged RF amplifiers (priced at less than $500 each for a single unit), including both low-noise and gain block amplifiers, covering wide octave frequency bands from 9kHz to 3GHz.
The products provide a convenient and economical source of in-stock and ready-to-ship coaxial RF amplifier solutions. The devices are also suitable for applications including military communications, electronic warfare, SatCom, fiber-optic communication systems, wireless base-stations, medical patient monitoring systems and university R&D labs.
Pasternack's newest families of RF amplifiers have P1dB levels up to +23dBm, low VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) and are unconditionally stable. Many of the amplifier designs utilize gallium arsenide (GaAs) pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistors (PHEMTs) for highly linear performance and high efficiency. The amplifiers exhibit noise figure levels as low as 0.5dB and high IP3 linearity up to +37dBm. The single DC positive voltage supply ranges from +12 to +15Vdc, while bias current ranges from 40mA to 190mA. The 50Ω hybrid circuits require no external matching components and are enclosed in rugged metal packages with SMA connectors, making them environmentally sealed from harsh elements. Designs perform across the full operational temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
All of the products in Pasternack's new amplifier portfolio are in-stock and ready to ship.
