Cree adds LED T8 tube replacement for consumers
LED chip, lamp and lighting maker Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA has expanded its LED bulb portfolio with the TW Series LED T8 tube replacement for consumers.
Designed for simple, wire-free installation and available as 32-watt replacements, the TW Series LED T8 tubes are sold at The Home Depot stores (starting at just $21.97) and consume up to 42% less energy than the 32W fluorescent tubes they replace.
Designed to look like the fluorescent tubes it replaces while providing superior illumination, the TW Series LED T8 tube replacement delivers what is claimed to be an unmatched 90+ color rendering index (CRI) in 2700K soft-white or 4000K cool-white color temperatures to provide natural light for kitchens, closets, garages, laundry rooms etc.
Cree says that, providing high ballast compatibility, the LED T8 tube replacement installs quickly and easily as a one-for-one replacement with instant start, rapid start and dimmable electronic ballasts, with no re-wiring needed. Outperforming fluorescent tubes and other popular LED replacements, it is claimed, the TW Series LED T8 tube replacements turn on instantly, are dimmable with most standard dimmers, last 50,000 hours, and feature a durable, shatter-proof design to deliver high-quality light for years, all backed by a five-year warranty.
