Ascent Solar's EnerPlex brand launches with Micro Center consumer electronics stores in US
Ascent Solar Technologies Inc of Thornton, CO, USA, which makes lightweight, flexible copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) thin-film photovoltaic modules integrated into off-grid applications and its EnerPlex series of consumer products, has announced a partnership with the consumer electronics retailer Micro Center, which operates 25 large computer and consumer electronics stores in major markets coast-to-coast in the USA.
"The expansion of our direct retail presence into the Midwest is another important step in the growth of the EnerPlex brand," says EnerPlex general manager Richard Hashim. "Our partnership with Micro Center, in addition to our other retail and distribution partners as well as the EnerPlex kiosks, will bring more consumers in contact with our revolutionary products every day in retail locations," he adds.
Ascent says that, for solar-integrated consumer electronics, EnerPlex provides lightweight, powerful and durable charging solutions for portable electronics. Surfr, a line of solar and battery integrated phone cases, allows users to charge their phone anywhere and in cases of emergency. The Commandr and Kickr lines of portable solar chargers provide a charging solution for nearly all devices, enabling power to be generated almost anywhere and in nearly every situation, suiting emergency preparedness. With the addition of the Generatr and Jumpr line of portable heavy-duty batteries and powerbanks, EnerPlex now provides a complete, integrated, solar charging and storage solution, says the firm.
