Ascent Solar's EnerPlex brand debuts first battery and solar case for iPhone 6
In booth #36065 at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas (6-9 January), Ascent Solar Technologies Inc of Thornton, CO, USA, which makes lightweight, flexible copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) thin-film photovoltaic modules integrated into off-grid applications and its EnerPlex series of consumer products, has debuted its Surfr battery and solar case for the Apple iPhone 6, along with its expanded line of EnerPlex portable power solutions.

The Surfr battery and solar case for the iPhone 6 is claimed to be the first case to integrate both battery storage as well as solar charging capacity into a thin and compact case, enabling more than 10 hours of extra talk time as well as doubling the video and audio capacity.
The EnerPlex Surfr for iPhone 6 is integrated with a 2700mAh lithium polymer battery as well as an ultra-thin photovoltaic panel, allowing the case to be less than 15mm thick while still providing power and protection.
