MACOM launches DC-50GHz wideband amplifier with +23dBm saturated power and 15dB of gain
M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc of Lowell, MA, USA (which makes semiconductors, components and subassemblies for analog RF, microwave, millimeter-wave and photonic applications) has launched the MAAM-011109-DIE, a wideband amplifier with an operating frequency range of DC-50GHz.
Providing 50 Ohms matching and typical input and return losses of better than 15dB, the user friendly amplifier is a high-performance, low-noise solution for users seeking a very wideband, fully matched amplifier.
Features of the MAAM-011109-DIE include gate bias adjust to change current setting for power or temperature, gain trim control that allows 15dB of gain control (0 to -1V), and a temperature-compensated power detector that provides a DC voltage in relation to the output power (for which P1dB is 20dBm).
"The wideband performance of the MAAM-011109-DIE makes it an optimal solution for broadband applications such as test & measurement and electronic countermeasures," says product manager Paul Beasly. "The DC-50GHz operation, adjustable bias control for power and gain, and low-noise performance [with a noise figure of 3.5dB] make the device a highly versatile solution for multiple wideband applications."
The die product features gold-plated contact pads on its backside and a size of 1.97mm x 1.30mm x 0.1mm.
Production quantities and samples are available from stock.
