Custom MMIC launches 6-20GHz LNA delivering over 20dB of gain

Custom MMIC of Westford, MA, USA has added the CMD194C3 to the 6-20GHz low-noise amplifier (LNA) to its growing product library. The new packaged broadband amplifier offers low noise figure and high gain while requiring a single supply voltage.

The CMD194C3 operates at 6-20GHz and delivers more than 20dB of gain with a corresponding output 1dB compression point of +15dBm and a noise figure of 2dB.

Housed in a leadless, Pb-free and RoHs-compliant 3mm x 3mm ceramic surface-mount package, the ports of the monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) are matched to 50 Ohms, eliminating the need for external DC blocks and RF matching.

The CMD194C3 LNA is suitable for electronic warfare (EW) and communications systems where small size and low power consumption are needed, says Custom MMIC. Applications include point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, military EW systems, and test instrumentation.
