NeoPhotonics opens Moscow sales and R&D office
NeoPhotonics Corp of San Jose, CA, USA, a vertically integrated designer and manufacturer of both indium phosphide (InP) and silica-on-silicon photonic integrated circuit (PIC)-based modules and subsystems, has opened a sales and R&D office in Moscow to service the Russian Federation and the broader eastern European market.
“We are pleased to make this commitment to our customers and technology partners in the region, and to build on the growing demand in the region for advanced telecommunications and enterprise data solutions,” says NeoPhotonics’ chairman & CEO Tim Jenks. “Together with our expanded sales force serving the region, this is the next step in our local business development activities including a greater research presence and the potential for production of advanced PIC-based solutions.”
In May last year, NeoPhotonics completed a private placement investment with the Russian sovereign fund investor RUSNANO.
