Special deal on GaN evaluation kits from GaN Systems at PCIM Exhibition

GaN Systems Inc of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, which is a fabless provider of gallium nitride (GaN)-based power switching semiconductors for power conversion and control applications, will exhibit at PCIM Europe 2013 in Nuremberg, Germany (14-16 May), where visitors to the firm’s stand can take advantage of a special introductory offer on soon-to-be-available evaluation kits.

The evaluation kits consist of a 400V boost converter demo board and a pair of GaN Systems’ GS30603M 600V gallium nitride switches. Customers who pre-order kits at PCIM will receive a 20% price reduction, and no deposit is required. Shipping will begin in Q3/2013.

“The special evaluation kit offer was very popular at the recent APEC USA power event, and we hope to have the same high level of interest at PCIM,” says CEO Girvan Patterson. “Our aim is to enable design engineers to take advantage of the benefits of our new gallium nitride products and realise that gallium nitride is a very real ‘now’ technology, not some interesting laboratory future concept.”
