Heliotrop announces over 70MW of projects, including 20MW of 1024-sun CPV units
Concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) module maker Heliotrop S.A.S. of Paris, France (which was formed in 2009) says that its clients have submitted several bids for a total of more than 70MWp to be realized in France. Clients include major project developers, engineering, procurement & construction firms, and independent power producers.
This Call for Tender was organized by the French Power Regulatory body (Commission de RĂ©gulation de l’Energie). Most submitted projects are hybrid solar power plants, mixing CPV and traditional PV technologies, providing a way for Heliotrop’s CPV technology to demonstrate its performance.
Heliotrop’s 1024-sun CPV technology is being developed together with several manufacturing companies and R&D laboratories, including INES (Institut National de l’Energie Solaire), which is part of France’s Atomic Energy Center (CEA).
