Heliotrop announces over 70MW of projects, including 20MW of 1024-sun CPV units
Concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) module maker Heliotrop S.A.S. of Paris, France (which was formed in 2009) says that its clients have submitted several bids for a total of more than 70MWp to be realized in France. Clients include major project developers, engineering, procurement & construction firms, and independent power producers.
This Call for Tender was organized by the French Power Regulatory body (Commission de Régulation de l’Energie). Most submitted projects are hybrid solar power plants, mixing CPV and traditional PV technologies, providing a way for Heliotrop’s CPV technology to demonstrate its performance.
Heliotrop’s 1024-sun CPV technology is being developed together with several manufacturing companies and R&D laboratories, including INES (Institut National de l’Energie Solaire), which is part of France’s Atomic Energy Center (CEA).
