Aixtron’s CRIUS II-XL technology wins LEDinside Aurora Award 2012

Deposition equipment maker Aixtron SE of Herzogenrath, Germany has won the 2012 LEDinside Aurora Award in the “Best MOCVD equipment” class, for its latest CRIUS II-XL technology, which was introduced in November 2011. The award, which recognizes outstanding products and performance in the LED industry, was made at the LEDforum 2012 in Guangzhou, China.

“Aixtron’s MOCVD equipment has a very strong world-wide reputation in LED production, efficiency and yield rate, while the technology also provides stable performance and flexible capacity expansion to LED manufacturers,” was the jury’s assessment. “Aixtron is very pleased to receive this significant award”, says Beccard. “Our systems are the key-enabling technology foundation for our customers. As technology leader, we are setting new standards of innovation and deliver competitive cutting-edge MOCVD technology, used for the production of LEDs for various applications, but also for memory or logic chips, lasers, and highperformance solar cells.”

CRIUS II-XL provides users with unsurpassed uniformity, repeatability and LED performance, along with the highest throughput and the largest capacity available (as high as 19x4 inch wafer configuration), and as a result offers the best cost of ownership in its class, says Aixtron.
