EPC achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality management

Efficient Power Conversion Corp (EPC) of El Segundo, CA, USA, which makes enhancement-mode gallium nitride on silicon (eGaN) power field-effect transistors (FETs) used in power conversion applications, has received the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system after passing an assessment conducted by Det Norske Veritas, an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB)-certified auditor.

EPC claims to be first to introduce enhancement-mode eGaN FETs as power MOSFET replacements in applications such as servers, netbooks, notebooks, LED lighting, cell phones, base stations, micro-inverters, and class-D audio amplifiers with device performance many times greater than the best silicon power MOSFETs.

“Our quality management system is dedicated to continuous improvement, our processes are well documented and controlled, changes are made in a considered way, and we listen systematically to our customers,” comments co-founder & CEO Alex Lidow.
