RFMD launches broadband low-power SP4T switch
RF Micro Devices Inc of Greensboro, NC, USA has launched a single-pole four-throw (SP4T) switch operating from low frequency up to >2.7GHz, designed for receive diversity switching applications, as well as multi-mode GSM/EDGE/WCDMA and LTE applications and cellular infrastructure applications.
The RF1604D is suited to battery-operated applications requiring high-performance switching with very low DC power consumption. It features high isolation of 40dB and low insertion loss of 0.4dB at 1GHz and is optimized for diversity routing with 1.3V GPIO control voltage compatibility. Also, the RF1604D includes integrated decoding logic, allowing just two control lines needed for switch control.
The device is packaged in a compact 2.5mm x 2.5mm x 0.6mm, 12-pin, leadless QFN package. No external DC-blocking capacitors are required on RF paths unless DC is applied externally to the device ports. Additionally, there is 2kV HBM ESD protection on all ports.
Pricing begins at $0.98 each for 100 pieces.
