RF Micro Devices Inc of Greensboro, NC, USA is to showcase its portfolio of products and technologies for the wireless and wired broadband markets in booth 1402 at the 2011 IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) in Baltimore, MD (6–8 June).
The firm will highlight products serving a diverse range of end-market segments including: broadband transmission, defense and aerospace, point-to-point microwave radio, WiFi, wireless infrastructure, wireless consumer products, WiMAX and SmartEnergy.
Products to be displayed span the firm’s portfolio, including:
- a variety of gallium nitride (GaN)-based products, including high-power transistors and ICs;
- the RFMD2080/81 IQ modulators with integrated LO oscillators, designed for point-to-point and other software-defined radio applications;
- point-to-point products including up/down-converters, MMIC voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) and other products addressing the RF and IF functions of the point-to-point radio transceiver;
- the newly released RFSA2714 and RFSA2724 digital step attenuators and the RFSA2013 and RF2023 voltage-controlled attenuators, optimized for cellular 3G/4G/LTE and WiMAX markets;
- RFMD’s portfolio of highly integrated multi-chip modules (MCMs) for wireless infrastructure applications.
RFMD will also introduce its 2011–2012 Product Selection Guide, which features specifications for more than 900 products including over 90 recently released products targeting multiple end-market applications. The new 63-page guide allows cross-referencing and searching of products using end-market application diagrams.
RFMD staff presenting papers, chairing sessions and hosting proceedings at the symposium will represent the firm’s Broadband Components, Defense and Power, Wireless Connectivity, Wireless Products, and Foundry Services business units.
