Elmet exhibits sputtering materials for CIGS and CdTe at SVC TechCon

At the 54th annual Society of Vacuum Coaters Technical Conference (SVC TechCon 2011) in Chicago this week (16–21 April), Elmet Technologies Inc of Lewiston, Maine, USA is exhibiting products including examples of its molybdenum and tungsten sputtering materials. The firm says that it has a large portfolio of sputtering materials for physical vapor deposition (PVD) applications including copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) and cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film photovoltaics, flat-panel displays (FPD) and semiconductors.

As a fully integrated supplier, Elmet manufactures products starting from molybdenum and tungsten powder and performs all of the necessary processing of the material within its ISO-certified facility. Elmet says that its powder metallurgy expertise allows it to meet specific application needs, whether semiconductor or solar grade, planar or rotary. Also, the firm's portfolio of geometries and sputtering materials includes standard and high purities as well as material compositions.

Elmet serves downstream sputtering target production needs through its complete machining and finishing operations, working with customers to provide both the sputtering materials and the machined backing plates used in sputtering target manufacture.
