RF front-end product maker and foundry services provider TriQuint Semiconductor Inc of Hillsboro, OR, USA says it has received a 'Supplier of the Year' award from wireless communication system equipment maker ZTE Corp of Shenzhen, China.
ZTE annually recognizes top suppliers with superior cost, quality, delivery and service performance. TriQuint has achieved the recognition for the third consecutive year, while experiencing a compound annual growth rate of 70% with ZTE.
“TriQuint had excellent performance in the areas of on-time delivery and business co-operation in 2009,” says Zeng Zhaoxiang, vice general manager of ZTE Kang Xun. “TriQuint made outstanding contributions in enhancing the whole delivery performance of ZTE,” he adds.
“TriQuint is committed to providing ZTE with quality products and excellent service as together we address the growth challenges inherent in the dynamic telecommunications industry,” says Tim Dunn, VP Mobile Devices at TriQuint. “We look forward to continuing to supply ZTE with high-quality radio-frequency solutions for wireless communications.”
One of the world's largest telecom equipment makers, ZTE says that it sees healthy demand for its wireless handsets and data cards continuing this year, and that it expects subscriber growth for TD-SCDMA (a Chinese wireless communication standard for 3G) to rise by 500%. TriQuint supplies RF solutions to ZTE including power amplifiers, SAW filters, and multi-function integrated modules for all wireless communication standards including GSM/GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, WCDMA and TD-SCDMA.
China Electronic News names TriQuint “Most Popular Semiconductor Brand in China”
Last week, TriQuint announced that it had received China Electronics News’ (CEN) “Most Popular Semiconductor Brand in China” award for 2009, in recognition of its brand influence, sales revenue, product performance and service, as well as local efforts in China.
Award recipients were chosen by a combination of the CEN editorial team and results of an online poll on CEN’s website.
TriQuint established its business in China in 2001 and now has offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Zhongshan. It is also launching a Chinese language website, and working with local universities to increase awareness of radio frequency technology.
