Infinera Corp of Sunnyvale, CA, USA, a vertically integrated manufacturer of digital optical network systems incorporating its own indium phosphide-based photonic integrated circuits (PICs), says that Paul J. Milbury has joined its board of directors, bringing experience of building successful companies and creating shareholder value.
Milbury served as VP of operations & chief financial officer of Starent Networks from 2007 until its acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2009. Previously, he was VP & chief financial officer of Avid Technology Inc, a pioneer of digital media creation, management, and distribution systems. Prior to that, Milbury was chief financial officer of iBelong.com, a developer of customized Internet portals. Earlier, he spent 19 years at Digital Equipment Corp.
“His experience building and managing growing companies brings a valuable perspective to Infinera,” believes CEO Tom Fallon.
