Comdel’s new Arc Detect Fast Shutdown minimizes arc damage
Comdel Inc of Gloucester, MA, USA, which designs and manufactures RF and DC power supplies and process instruments for the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, has launched a new Arc Detect Fast Shutdown option that provides shutdown of the RF to minimize arc damage.
The integrated system works within the matching network and power supply. Latching fast shutdown located in the power supply interfaces with the arc detect circuit in the matching network. The system allows for automatic fast shutdown of the RF during an arc condition to minimize damage on end-user tooling and product, improving product yield while protecting process equipment. It provides ultra fast shutdown in less than 1.5 microseconds.
The Arc Detect Fast Shutdown option is available on all Comdel CPMX matching networks and CX power supplies.
