Luminus appoints distribution partner for EMEA region

Luminus Devices of Billerica, Mass, USA has appointed EBV Elektronik (an Avnet Company) of Munich, Germany to distribute PhlatLight LEDs to general illumination customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Luminus says that its PhlatLight LEDs are currently being used in a variety of lighting applications that require high brightness and efficiency, wide colour gamut, high colour rendering and long lifetimes. For fixture designers, PhlatLight LEDs enable high-lumen applications that could not be achieved with traditional LEDs in wide area, entertainment, architectural, specialty, industrial and commercial lighting applications, adds the firm.

“The EBV General Lighting Team offers comprehensive commercial and logistical solutions in all [EMEA] regions to support Luminus’ customers for general illumination applications that use PhlatLight LEDs. Together with our team of 120 application specialists they will also provide design know-how and application support in secondary optics, thermal management, analog power drivers and network/control protocols,” said Slobodan Puljarevic, president and CEO of EBV Elektronik.
