Skyworks receives LG best supplier award for second consecutive year

Skyworks Solutions Inc Woburn, Mass, USA has received LG Electronics’ 2008 Best Supplier Award for the second consecutive year. The award is based on technology, quality, product reliability and on-time delivery.

LG incorporates Skyworks’ front-end solutions into a variety of mobile handsets sold worldwide and spanning all key air interfaces, including: CDMA, GSM, EDGE and WCDMA for 3G multimode applications.

“We are delighted to present Skyworks with our 2008 Best Supplier Award,” said Gi-seob Shin, executive vice president for the procurement division at LG Electronics. “Skyworks has been an exceedingly valuable business partner [since 1995] and very instrumental in helping us expand our global mobile communications presence.
