UK-based etch and deposition equipment maker Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology (OIPT) says that, as part of providing comprehensive after-sales support globally, it has launched new, personalized ‘Oi Service’ flexible support agreements to suit customers’ individual requirements.
Benefits including cost savings on both time and spares, reduced lifetime cost of ownership due to regular maintenance, and reduced downtime, says OIPT. Additional savings can be made when purchasing a 3 or 5 year contract.
Recognizing that users have varied and diverse needs, the new support agreements packages are based on a ‘pick and mix’ concept – the customer can select from a number of options to create a support package tailored to their precise requirements, rather than the rigidity of taking set services, some of which they may not need.
“In formulating this new ‘pick and mix’ concept we are encouraging our customers to choose the support that suits them best,” says customer support sales manager Diane Stubbs. “This will ensure excellent value support, coupled with the knowledge that customers' systems are being maintained by highly skilled OIPT field engineers,” she adds.
