Aviza Technology Inc of Scotts Valley, CA, USA has received multiple orders for its Delta i2L PECVD and Omega i2L etch systems from an optoelectronics manufacturer. Aviza did not name the customer, but did say that the systems would be used in the production of GaAs and InGaN-based LED devices, such as the HB-LEDs used in solid state lighting, mobile communications and automotive applications.
“We are pleased that this customer selected multiple Aviza systems for their manufacturing requirements,” said Kevin Crofton, senior vice president of Aviza’s Product Business Units. “Securing these system orders validates Aviza’s ability to produce results that meet or exceed our customers’ process specifications.”
Aviza adds that its Delta i2L and Omega i2L are cost effective, production-proven systems, and that its Omega i2L system is the process tool of record (PTOR) for etch applications at this customer’s facility.
