A special meeting of stockholders of WJ Communications Inc of San Jose, CA, USA (which designs and supplies GaAs-based RF products for wireless infrastructure, RFID and WiMAX markets) has approved the firm’s proposed merger with RF front-end component maker TriQuint Semiconductor Inc of Hillsboro, OR, USA.
TriQuint has therefore closed the acquisition of all outstanding WJ shares, which have been converted into the right to receive $1 per share.
WJ has now ceased trading on the NASDAQ Global Market and is no longer a publicly traded entity but a wholly owned subsidiary of TriQuint.
