Metrology equipment maker Nanometrics Inc of Milpitas, CA, USA has appointed Michael Fischer as vice president of worldwide sales.
With 23 years experience of the semiconductor and process control industry, Fischer joins Nanometrics after nearly 20 years at KLA-Tencor. Most recently, he was general manager of the Global Qimonda Business Unit, before which he was senior director of worldwide sales of the Reticle Inspection Division.
Nanometrics’ president and CEO Dr Timothy J. Stultz said: “A proven industry veteran, Mike brings a wealth of selling and commercial experience in international markets. Mike is a seasoned leader of global sales organizations, with expertise in executing defined, strategic selling business practices.”
The company’s compound semiconductor and materials characterization product lines include: the RPM2000, Vektor, Vertex, ECV Pro, NanoSpec 3000 and NanoSpec 6100 systems. These systems primarily serve the high-brightness LED (HB-LED), wafer substrate and solar photovoltaic (PV) metrology sectors.See related items:
