Ascent Solar Technologies Inc of Littleton, CO, USA, which develops copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) thin-film photovoltaic modules, has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the proposed offering of shares of its common stock.
Proceeds are expected to be about $80m. Ascent intends to use net proceeds for the design, purchase, installation, qualification and testing of production tools for about 30MW of rated capacity of modules, as well as for general corporate purposes.
