LED maker Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA has appointed Soo Ghee Lee as vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, and Wayne Nesbit as vice president of worldwide manufacturing.
Based in Penang, Malaysia, Soo Ghee Lee will be responsible for the development of new revenue streams and extending customer relationships in the Asia Pacific region. He joins Cree with more than 25 years of optoelectronics experience, and was most recently vice president and general manager of Avago Technologies’ solid-state illumination division.
Based Durham, NC, Wayne Nesbit will oversee global manufacturing operations, including planning/logistics, supply chain, purchasing and quality. Prior to joining Cree, he was senior vice president of operations at Mindspeed Technologies, before which he spent 17 years at Motorola in various global semiconductor management roles.
